JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Maintain up-to-date authorization-related information in Authorizations Manual
- Submit, follow up and reconcile all initial and concurrent authorizations per payer guides
- Notify internal teams and organize Peer to Peer upon receipt of denial
- Submit completed discharge summaries to payers within 48 hours of discharge
- Work independently to complete all assigned daily tasks
- Assist with weekly eligibility report as needed
- Report any trending internal or external issues to Authorizations Manager
- Comply with all state and federal guidelines
- Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines
- Attend any and all necessary meetings
- Contribute to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of Isaiah House
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, DSM-V, CPT/HCPCs, substance abuse and behavioral health treatment.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain proficiency in Isaiah House policy, procedures, and programs.
- Knowledge of various web browsers, electronic health records/payment management systems, Excel, Word, Outlook, and various provider portals - Availity,KYMMIS, etc.
