Clarivate is seeking to hire on a dynamic Accountant to join our growing, global Finance team! Partnering with the business, you will be a key contributor to corporate finance with direct responsibilities to perform general accounting duties and be a part of our Fixed Assets and Intangibles team. Collaborating closely with the global finance team, this role requires close coordination, communication, and effective cross-functional relationships.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, relevant field or equivalent work experience; CPA certification a plus
- 1+ year of corporate accounting experience; fixed asset experience a plus
It would be great if you also had...- Working knowledge of general accounting concepts, monthly close process, financial reporting, and GAAP concepts
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management skills necessary to meet time-sensitive deadlines
What will you be doing in this role?- Assist with the process of creating and processing new fixed assets and disposals
- Ensure accurate asset capitalization and classification in accordance with Company policy
- Participate in the monthly close process for fixed assets, including journal entries, adjustments, and account reconciliations/rollforwards
- Responsible for the execution of the Company's internal controls over the fixed asset process in accordance with its SOX compliance program
- Perform any other special duties, projects or analyses as directed by the Company
About the TeamWe have an effective team of self-driven colleagues who collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. The Fixed Asset and Intangibles team consists of a global team of 4 accounting professionals reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting.
Hours of Work - Regular business hours Mon-Friday
- This is a hybrid position working 3 days a week in the Denver office (Tues/Wed/Thurs)
Compensation - US Only The expected base salary for this position is $50,000- $62,000 USD per year. This role is eligible for (incentive or bonus) earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
