This person will be very detailed and is committed to the success of the warehouse, the team, and the company. They will be responsible for receiving all incoming shipments into the warehouse and parts shipping to sites and/or to other departments.This person will be accurate while processing shipments and receiving in a timely manner. They must be able to communicate well with the warehouse team and other departments. The following responsibilities are essential, but not all-inclusive.Job Responsibilities:Load/unload truck shipments in a safe and efficient manner, including confined spacesReceive shipments to the warehouse in a timely mannerInspect and organize received packages/shipmentsManually enter data into the asset system and take pictures of all parts received that are going to the warehouseCommunicate with Logistics Manager if shipments cannot be received for missing informationTag all pallets if they are on the dock for shipment or if they have not been receivedReceive parts needed by the FAB shop in a timely manner. Parts are then taken to the FAB Supervisor or placed in the FAB designated areaOrganize, palletize, and move parts/pallets once received into the warehouse areaOperate pallet jack and forklift in a proper, safe, and efficient mannerMaintain work area in a clean organized, and safe mannerAccurately check all shipments against e-mails and/or packing slipsCheck e-mails regularly for changes to receiving, shipping, order pulling, or order changesFollow all procedures that are in place in the warehouseMaintain a very high standard of great customer service to all departmentsCross-train in all areas of the warehouseSUPERVISORY / BUDGETARY / EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITYThis is an individual contributor.Responsible for communicating internally and externally to employees and vendors.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENT (minimum competencies required for job performance)Must be able to manage and prioritize shipping, receiving, and dock responsibilitiesMust accurately receive parts in and check shipments going outMust have a sense of urgency throughout the dayMust be able to communicate effectively with the warehouse team and other departmentsPRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSPrior experience working in a warehouse environmentExperience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control requiredMust be able to drive a sit-down forkliftMust be able to work independentlyPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands are those of a typical warehouse environment and safely lift up to 50 lbs.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
