Controls Hardware Engineer


Job Details

Hiring Controls Hardware Engineer to oversee automation and control system architecture, develop CAD drawings, and lead hardware manufacturing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Selecting industrial control systems hardware compatible with PLC systems
  • Developing 2D CAD templates and symbol databases for panel and schematic drafting
  • Designing panel layouts, loop schematics, and managing part databases
  • Collaborating with manufacturing on panel builds, cable routings, and integration
  • Assisting with control system hardware startup and testing
  • Conducting electrical design checks and generating reports using CAD software
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years in industrial applications
  • Proficiency in Solidworks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar CAD software
  • Experience with industrial control equipment and standards like UL508A and NEC/NFPA70
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to lead across various engineering disciplines and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
