Overview:

Gallagher Bassett Technical Services division (GBTS) is looking to hire a full-time Environmental Project Manager to work and support the Environmental practice area in our southern Florida (Miami) regional office. The position will include project management, research, reporting preparation, and field assessment activities.

Responsibilities:

How you'll make an impact

  • Serve as Project Manager for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, Site Assessment Projects, Tank Closure Assessments and Remediation Projects, including all associated research, field investigations, sampling activities, report preparations, status update correspondences, client relations, proposal preparations, invoicing and collections.
  • Handle specialty projects that may require travel or involve a higher level of skill/knowledge.
  • Support outer office projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Field Work including groundwater, surface water and soil sampling, use of field measurement instruments (OVA, peristaltic pumps, centrifugal pumps, stabilization meters, depth-to-groundwater)


Qualifications:

Additional Considerations:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree (environmental/civil engineering, geology, or other earth sciences field preferred) and a minimum of 2 years experience required.
  • Must have valid driver's license and dependable automobile transportation available.
  • Field assignments may include property inspections, climbing, extended periods of walking/standing, extreme weather conditions, and lifting/carrying equipment.
  • Able to effectively prioritize assignments. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Job may require after-hour work, weekend work and some travel.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Bilingual or multi-lingual capability a plus
