**Description**
We are seeking a full-time, Warehouse Associate for our distribution center in Galt, California for our Marvin Window and Door division. Responsibilities for this position include loading and unloading trucks, storing and pulling product, receiving and shipping products, and driving a forklift.
**Responsibilities:**
- Unloads Marvin delivery trucks
- Verifies incoming freight item count with packing list and checks for damage
- Racks and stores product in an organized and safe manner
- Accurately pulls stock from assigned areas using a forklift or cart when necessary according to customer orders
- Hand stacks, palletizes, and properly packs merchandise for safe and secure shipment
- Pulls parts and literature for UPS or company truck delivery
- Loads semi trucks and vans with Marvin windows and doors materials by hand
- Lifts, pulls, pushes, and loads materials into tractor trailers
- Ties loads down using straps, poles, or ropes
- Tarps and undrapes loads and mounts chains on tires during inclement weather
- Completes proper paperwork to verify deliveries and turns in to the Marvin Order Management
- Operates lift gate
- Cleans and maintains work area free from dirt and clutter to prevent accidents and allow for safe forklift movement within the warehouse
- Occasionally performs vehicle checks on forklifts for safety purposes
- Required to keep a clean driving record
- Expected to work overtime during peak business periods
- Performs other duties as requested by the Southern California Marvin Operations Branch Manager
**Essential Experience :**
* High school graduate or equivalent
* 3 years forklift and warehouse experience, preferably in a distribution center
* Self-motivated and enjoys working independently
* Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
* Able to sustain physical work at a fast pace including pushing, bending, lifting, kneeling, walking, climbing ladders/steps
* Comfortable working outside in a variety of weather conditions
* Competent at accurately reading shipping documents and other printed material
* Good basic math skills
* Highly competent in the areas of accuracy, organization, adaptability, dependability, and teamwork
* Available to work Monday through Friday with flexibility to work overtime as required before and after regular work hours
* Able to pass drug test, physical and background check
