About the Role:
Ascertain is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team in building world-changing products to transform patient care and improve outcomes through cutting-edge AI/ML-enabled applications. You ll work closely with both our research and engineering teams to execute against the product roadmap for healthcare tools. The role will be hybrid in New York at the Ascertain headquarters and onsite with our partners at Northwell occasionally.
What You'll Do:
- Support the initial launch of the Ascertain platform by building full-stack applications and services that enable positive user experiences.
- Contribute to technical vision through exploration and use of generative AI/LLMs.
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment.
- Work closely with our product, customer success, and commercial teams to ensure requirements are over delivered
- Track and manage the successful delivery of software and key results
- Develop and foster world-class modern development best practices
- Nurture a culture of ownership and technical excellence
- Improve our codebase through continual testing and refactoring.
What You'll Have:
- At least five years of software engineering experience.
- Experience using Python or a similar language to build backend applications.
- Experience using Typescript and Vue (or React) to build frontend applications.
- Experience designing and developing complex systems (distributed, eventing, trading, ML).
- Experience working in an early stage startup environment.
- Experience with database technologies.
- Experience integrating with APIs.
- Experience working with cloud technologies.
- Experience working in an agile environment (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.).
- Experience working with product managers and product designers.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team environment.
- Experience at a fast-paced, high-growth company is a plus.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare is a plus.
- Experience with generative AI is a plus.
- Experience with Vue is a plus.

The base salary range is $ 170,000 - 200,000 with an eligible cash bonus. A salary will be determined by experience, skill level, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
Total compensation also includes a stock option grant and a competitive benefits package.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
