This individual will possess outstanding team leadership skills, possess a deep understanding of complex public sector sales processes & acquisition methodology, along with an ability to complete sales with operational rigor and cadence. This role requires a passionate solutions-oriented sales leader who has deep domain expertise within the Washington, DC region. Working in this position, the sales leader will professionally develop and inspire creative go-to-market initiatives helping public sector-focused System Integrator Partners and Salesforce subject matter experts to align with the Field Account Executive in pursuit of driving net new levels of service and innovation to public sector customers. Daily emphasis on promoting and living Salesforce Company Values of Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, and Equality are primary to successful outcomes in this role. Responsibilities:Achieve sales objectives by communicating transformative go-to-market VISION & aligned sales objectives in support of public sector missions and use casesExpand customer base through deep discovery and engagement with public sector end-user Sr Executive customers (Trailblazers) and their aligned mission/constituencyMeet monthly, quarterly & annual revenue growth objectives for each territory through virtual and face-to-face sales efforts with the sales team and Salesforce resourcesDeliver weekly & quarterly forecasts with emphasis on accelerating the opportunity closing process while openly documenting clear steps to close in Salesforce Org62 CRM instanceWeekly emphasis on AE productivity and participation through the establishment of pipeline generation targets & progression of revenue opportunities using Salesforce toolsEffectively and efficiently leverage all sales assets of Salesforce including aligned Cloud solution teams, Partners, Inside sales teams, Sr Executives, and subject matter experts at appropriate stages in the sales cycleResponsible for leading, mentoring and coaching public sector Account Executives to overcome market headwinds & competition while leading complex Account specific solution engagementsQualifications:Minimum 10+ years deep understanding of sales process and acquisition policy/protocol as the need arises by Government acquisition regulationsMinimum 10+ years demonstrated decision-making proficiency, creativity, and success leading sales of complex multi-million dollar SaaS solutions to public sector accountsMust have proven experience leading large go-to-market teams through extended formal (RFP/RFX) sales cycles and domain-specific buying vehiclesEstablished relationships with system integrator Partners in the public sector domain (preferred)Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
