JOB SUMMARY/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT:
The Client Service Representative I is a strategic support position for the Benefit Department and is an important point of contact for our clients. The Client Service Representative I position must be highly responsive to client requests and be able to proactively identify client issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Answer phone inquiries with knowledge, confidence, and a pleasant demeanor with the intent of building and maintaining positive relationships through recurring calls and strategic partnerships with our client-base.
- Maintain the phone system which includes supplying and updating the office messaging and monitoring the central office line and voice mail.
- Monitor any faxes that come in to the office.
- Maintain/update the reference lists that are both separate and integrated with the Summit CRM System.
- Gain a sound working knowledge of the carriers and other vendors with whom Summit Financial works, including basic contractual language and terminology.
- Maintain, monitor, and update the password access with carriers and vendors by communicating with the Summit Compliance Officer on behalf of the team.
- Maintain/update any worksheets needed when the Summit CRM System cannot place hold the data for client exceptions.
- Process client employee enrollments (add/terms/changes) for all carriers. This will include working with Benefits/HR platforms such as Zenefits, Paycom, Spirit HR, etc.
- Process all Open Enrollment results for the benefits team client-base.
- Prepare Open Enrollment Results Spreadsheets with Payroll Deductions for the client-base.
- Handle client billing, benefit, enrollment, and claim inquiries.
- Assist the Client Service Representative II with the preparation of client censuses.
- Assist the Client Service Representative II, time permitting, with the preparation of enrollment materials including such items as benefit guides and notices.
- Handle all job position document scanning.
- Perform general and administrative duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years previous work-related experience is preferred, but not required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Experience using Microsoft Office 365; Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Dynamics preferred.
EDCUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor s degree preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Ability to acquire a Life, Accident & Health insurance license for the states in which accounts are sold within the first year of employment.
