Andes has developed a Carbon Program based on carbon removal technology that uses beneficial microbes to convert CO2 into stable minerals in agricultural soils. The company partners with farmers to apply Andes microbial inoculant to agricultural fields. The Operations team leads the execution of this program, which includes farmer enrollment, soil sampling and credit verification.The company is in a phase of rapid expansion, extending its operations throughout the US Midwest.

In line with our rapid expansion plans, particularly throughout the US Midwest, we are looking for a motivated and dynamic Farmer Enrollment Lead. This role will focus on enrolling new farmers into our Carbon Program, a crucial component as we look to grow our footprint 4x in the upcoming year.


Location: Remote (preferably based in the US Midwest for easy travel to farmers)


Key Responsibilities:

Farmer Recruitment and Engagement

  • Lead identification and enrollment of new farmers into the Carbon Program
  • Attend agricultural events, conferences, and seminars to network with potential farmers and promote the benefits of joining the Carbon Program
  • Manage communications and relationships with new and potential farmers, acting as their primary contact at Andes until they enroll in the Carbon Program, at which point the relationship is transferred to the Andes Field Operations team

Strategy Development

  • Develop and refine strategies for farmer expansion, focusing on new channels and methods for farmer outreach
  • Analyze market trends and farmer needs to tailor outreach and engagement strategies

Material Development for Farmer Engagement

  • Develop and refine outreach materials tailored to farmer interests and needs
  • Create engaging content that communicates the benefits and processes of the Carbon Program to prospective farmers

Performance Monitoring

  • Track and report on enrollment goals, providing insights and updates to senior management
  • Continuously assess and refine engagement tactics based on farmer feedback and enrollment results


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in agricultural services, with demonstrated success in implementing agricultural projects, engaging with the farming community, and collaboration with scientific and governmental bodies to enhance sustainable farming
  • Proven track record in sales or community outreach within the agricultural sector, adept at farmer recruitment and relationship management
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, capable of developing and executing outreach strategies that meet company goals and respond to market changes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, effective at interacting with diverse groups
  • Robust organizational and project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • In-depth knowledge of agricultural practices and soil health issues
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to meet with farmers and attend events

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $90,000-110,000 / year
