Direct Wire & Cable is actively seeking a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team! Reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development, this exciting opportunity plays a crucial role as a subject matter expert in the wire and cable industry. As the Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving growth and exploring new business opportunities at Direct Wire.


**Must have Industrial and/or cable & wire experience**


At Direct Wire & Cable, we manufacture different cable products for various industries and applications. This is a remote position that will require frequent travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes. Travel to Denver, PA or Lancaster, PA will be infrequent, but may be necessary for essential meetings and strategy sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charge in gaining new business across all business segment(s) and must act with a sense of urgency within Direct Wire & Cable s (DWC) culture of growth.
  • Responsible for achieving quarterly sales goals set by VP of Business Development.
  • Required to execute strategic segment research projects, required product portfolio and initiatives which explore new business opportunities and targets to ensure that DWC meets its growth and business goals.
  • Builds, tests, and owns the business and sales strategy for multiple industrial segments where DWC competes.
  • Oversees and sets the cadence for winning new business via the establishment of sales objectives, developing annual sales quotas, projecting expected new sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Mentor, as needed, to the sales team by communicating and developing the hunter mentality behaviors which will exceed company goals and objectives.
  • Champion of SalesForce.com for establishing and driving sales pipeline management and execution.
  • Prepare executive level presentations and updates for ELT.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with current and prospective customers to present our products and services


Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field preferred.
  • Prior segment P&L experience within a culture of growth is preferred.
  • 8-10 Years experience in creating and executing business strategies that resulted in growth.
  • Subject matter expert for multiple industrial segments.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and has a high level of financial and business acumen.
  • Expected to demonstrate executive presence as interaction with Executive Leadership Team will be common.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and consultative selling skills.
  • Organized and ability to problem solve in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written & verbal) with employees, customers, and management.
  • Ability to use technology such as (SalesForce.com, Zoom Info, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook).
