A well-established Security Integrator, boasting extensive experience in the Audio, Video, and Security sector, is currently in search of a skilled Security Installer. As part of this role, you'll be tasked with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Axis Communications, Alarm.com, Genetec, Liftmaster, Access Control, PDK, and DMP systems for our valued clients. Job Duties:
- Install and configure security system components, such as cameras, access control panels, intrusion detection devices, and other related equipment.
- Mount and position devices according to design plans and client requirements.
- Run and terminate cabling for data and power connections.
- Ensure proper integration and connectivity between different system components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on security systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct system inspections, testing, and cleaning to identify and resolve issues or malfunctions.
- Replace faulty or damaged components as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest technology and industry trends to recommend system upgrades or enhancements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot security system issues reported by clients or detected during routine maintenance.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root cause of problems.
- Repair or replace faulty components, cables, or connections.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
- Integrate security systems with other relevant systems, such as video management software, access control systems, and alarm monitoring systems.
- Configure system settings and parameters for proper functionality and compatibility.
- Test and verify system integrations to ensure seamless operation.
- Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Complete required documentation, including installation checklists, equipment inventories, and service reports.
- Generate reports on system status, maintenance activities, and incidents encountered during service calls.
Requirements:
- Technical certifications or training in security systems, electronics, or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of security system components and installation procedures.
- Proficiency in cabling installation and termination.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and testing instruments.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness for installation tasks involving lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
