Focused on sustainment and aftermarket solutions, they're looking for a driven Supply Chain Manager to join their team. Your role will be crucial in launching a new greenfield site, where you'll have the chance to establish vital processes and onboard a dynamic team who can meet the demands of world-leading MRO facility. Progression to Director level is very achievable with this role!

Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager

  • Supervise and optimize daily purchasing operations, including order processing, RFQs, and purchase orders, while overseeing senior buyers, buyers, and associate buyers to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Possess expertise in purchased commodities, supply sources, and contract methods, with decisions directly impacting financial commitments and customer requirements.
  • Assign commodities and ensure adherence to purchasing policies, supporting Ontic AS9100 Quality Manual.
  • Work towards meeting supplier performance goals, including MRP compliance, on-time delivery, quality standards, and cost reduction efforts through negotiations and contract management.
  • Develop suppliers capable of providing Value Added Parts, managing their own raw materials and processes, and delivering complete assemblies to Ontic.
  • Foster communication across departments, particularly with Engineering, Contracts, Pricing, Accounting, Material Planning, Quality, and Repair and Overhaul teams.
  • Prepare and monitor supplier performance and buyer metrics, collaborating with buyers to enhance supplier performance concerning Supplier On-Time Delivery, meeting MRP delivery dates, Quality, and service.

Requirements of the Supply Chain Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in business/engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience and understanding of procurement within the electronics category is essential.
  • Experience as a Senior Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or Commodity Manager in an aerospace setting, specifically dealing with commodities such as machined and fabricated parts, complex assemblies, raw materials, electronics, and mil-spec metal treating processes.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, adept at blueprint interpretation, comprehensive understanding of multi-level bills of materials, skilled in price management, cost reduction strategies, and cost analysis.
