The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to play a vital role in leading our custom and proprietary injection molding operations. You will oversee all aspects of production, ensuring efficient operations and superior product quality. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all custom and proprietary injection molding operations, including personnel, equipment, and processes.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term operations plans to achieve production goals and meet customer requirements.
- Lead a team of supervisors, engineers, technicians, and support personnel to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing process and equipment upgrades to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) and implement strategies to optimize production costs.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork within the operations team.
- Ensure adherence to all quality standards and safety protocols.
- Identify and resolve production issues effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a plastic manufacturing environment (injection molding, thermoforming, rubber molding, extrusion a plus).
- Proven ability to develop and implement short- and long-term operational plans.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage a team.
- Experience in problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of P&L statements and cost control measures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of $135,000 base salary + comprehensive benefits package.
