The Fabrication Manager Position

The Fabrication Manager manages fabrication staff to ensure quality and safety goals are met and that best practices and procedures are followed. Collaborating with project teams throughout the organization, the Fabrication Manager determines responsibilities to the fabrication staff depending on project size and scope, necessary deliveries, materials needs and scheduling.


The position acts as the General Manager on the fabrication side of the business, ensuring they can take direction from project teams and provide direction to the fabrication staff. The major short-term priority is to assist in the development of C.A. Hull s new fabrication building space. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a keen knowledge of steel fabrication. The long-term goal of the organization is to continue increasing their fabrication scope, building upon the foundation that is currently in place.


Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Fabrication Manager Position

  • Five or more years of shop leadership experience in a fabrication environment is required
  • A Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience is preferred
  • Must have a good understanding of production planning and project scheduling
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing them appropriately
  • The ability to fluently read, write, and speak English

Compensation, Benefits, and Structure for the Fabrication Manager

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday (with occasional weekends, as needed), with a competitive compensation package based on skills and experience.
