We have an exclusive search with one of the fastest growing energy companies in Houston, TX. Due to their growth, they have an immediate need for an Accounting Manager. This is a newly created position. They are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and be hands-on , while demonstrating leadership capabilities in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role and this candidate must reside in the Greater Houston area.
Some responsibilities will include:
- Manage and coordinate the process of closing the monthly general ledger
- Prepare the financial statements and account reconciliation
- Complete variance analysis and monthly and quarterly financial statement budgeting and forecasting
- Remain compliance with Generally-Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting standard updates and other publications
- Collaborate and work closely with the Controller
- Ability to manage 1-2 direct reports

Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience
- CPA or CPA eligible highly preferred
- Public accounting experience (preferably Big 4) experience highly preferred
- Industry experience required preferably in the oil and gas or energy sector
- FERC experience a plus
Salary range between $110,000 - $130,000 with bonus and LTI. Salary could be flexible for the right candidate.
