This innovative company is seeking a Civil Engineer 2. In this role, you'll lead a variety of civil engineering tasks, from zoning analysis to site planning and stormwater management. With your expertise, you'll coordinate with local utilities and government bodies, supervise project plans, and mentor junior staff. The candidate s contributions will span small site restorations to large-scale constructions, fostering growth and excellence within the team.

Focus:
- Undertake a diverse array of civil engineering analyses and design tasks encompassing zoning assessments, site planning, stormwater management, utility layout and coordination, pavement/roadway evaluations, ADA compliance, parking assessments and layout, and vehicular maneuvering analyses.
- Direct the coordination and presentation of project submissions to local utilities, municipal authorities, environmental agencies, and town planning boards, ensuring seamless communication and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough site investigations to meticulously observe and document existing conditions, providing critical insights essential for informed decision-making and project planning.
- Thoroughly complete and meticulously review design calculations, while providing valuable assistance in the preparation of drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements and standards.
- Oversee the development of project plans, design calculations, and specifications, taking charge of coordinating with other design disciplines as needed. Lead this collaborative effort to ensure cohesion and alignment across all aspects of the project.
- Offer timely responses and innovative solutions to address any issues that arise during the construction administration phase of projects, maintaining project progress and ensuring quality outcomes.
- Utilize technical and project management skills on projects ranging from small site restorations to large scale new construction.
- Interact proactively with current clientele and actively pursue new business opportunities to drive growth across the organization s diverse service offerings, fostering long-term relationships and expanding our market presence.
- Assist in the preparation of technical content for proposals for engineering services.
- Attend industry and business development functions as a representative of the firm.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Possess a minimum of seven years of comprehensive experience in the field of Civil Engineering,
- NJ PE (Professional Engineer) license required.
- Demonstrate the capability to offer effective guidance and mentorship to junior-level engineers, fostering their professional development and contributing to the overall success of the team
- Understanding and application of local code requirements.
- Possess hands-on experience utilizing a variety of structural analysis software tools, demonstrating proficiency in leveraging these tools to analyze and optimize structural designs effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required.
