**Essential Duties Include:**
The Kitchen Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards through the operation of dishwashing equipment and sinks, polishing silverware, removing garbage, and cleaning of equipment and work areas, including the sweeping and mopping of floors. This position will also assist in general food preparation for events.
* Ensures kitchen and equipment cleanliness.
* Dishwashing
* Handles and stores food in a sanitary fashion.
* Recognizes quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meats.
* Is attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
* Coordinates with Kitchen Supervisor, Sous Chef, and/or Executive Chef for banquet functions and special orders.
* Obtains all necessary supplies and equipment to perform duties, including stocking of all china and silver, as needed.
* Understands formal requisition process.
* Performs other duties as requested by management.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
* Ability to work evenings and weekends.
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
* One year dishwashing / commercial kitchen experience preferred.
* Experience in a comparable facility or related field preferred.
**Physical Demands:**
* The nature of this job requires that the employee work on-site.
* Must be willing to be fully vaccinated by date of hire to be considered for employment.
* Must be able to perform physically strenuous tasks repetitively, such as lifting and carrying trays and trash cans, working a commercial dish washer, emptying garbage, etc.
* Ability to stand and perform moderately physically demanding work for sustained periods of time throughout work shift (excluding lunch and/or breaks)
* Ability to lift and move objects (average weight of 25-30 lbs.) and repetitive motion and activities such as walking, standing, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, carrying, etc.
