Job Details

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and
regulations relating to the gaming operations of Rising Star Casino Resort.


Facilitate and assist in all communication with the Indiana Gaming Board
regarding statute and regulation interpretation, requests for variances, and
other related matters.


Maintain knowledge of regulations set forth by the Indiana Gaming Board
regarding casino operations.


Maintain a clear understanding of Rising Star Casino Resort Internal Controls.

Responsible for addressing day-to-day inquiries or issues regarding internal
controls.


Responsible for submissions to the Indiana Gaming Board to obtain approvals
for table games additions, deletions and/or moves, cage and count room access,
marketing promotions, count and drop times, and any other approvals required
by Illinois Gaming Board.


Act as a liaison between the Indiana Gaming Board and Rising Star Casino
Resort.


Conduct regulatory investigations, as requested by General Manager or FHR
GC.


Perform and report regulatory issues to prevent violations or possible fines, i.e.
daily surveillance report.


Assist FHR GC in contract administration and conduct vendor background
checks as appropriate.


Assist with drafting company policies or procedures upon request by the
Corporate Director of HR or GC.


Upon request from the director of HR, serve as a resource for employment-
related legal matters.


Chair compliance-related committees (i.e. Compliance & Training, MBE/WBE,
Title 31or others as assigned.


Under the direction of GC, manager outside litigation for Rising Star Casino
Resort.


Review financial operating procedures and ensure that these procedures
comply with applicable gaming regulations.


Responsible for submitting CTRs and SARs to the IRS.

Responsible for Title 31 Training conducted by all applicable departments.

Responsible for annual testing of gaming employees on CTRs, SARs and Self-
Exclusion.


Responsible for keeping the casino in compliance with AML and Title 31
Regulations.


Assist GC, HR and Security in risk-related investigations, as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors' degree preferred; law degree or paralegal experience preferred
  • 2-4 years of previous experience


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.This position requires a Level 1 gaming license.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent guest service and communication skills
  • Proficient in Computer, Excel, Microsoft Word
  • Ability to be in a casino environment, which may include exposure to noise and secondhand smoke.
  • Frequently speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend, and stoop
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull
