Concord Hospital Health System has exclusively retained Avoca Search to recruit a Director of Total Rewards and HR Operations who is responsible for the strategic direction of the Total Rewards program, HR operations, and compensation and benefits programs.


Concord Hospital is a non-profit, regional health system serving the greater central New Hampshire community. Comprised of two acute care hospitals, Concord, a teaching hospital affiliated with Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, and Laconia combined have 432 beds with Franklin which is a 25-bed critical access hospital. The regional health system is supported by an employed medical group of 500 physicians in 35 locations that represent 28 sub-specialties and has a total of 5000 employees.


Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director will lead the strategic direction for compensation, benefits, HRIS, and HR Service Center teams. The Director will also partner with operations, finance, and IT leaders across the system to ensure the contemporary administration of Total Rewards and the optimization of the HRIS system, Workday, to include the automation of standardized HR processes, as well as the reporting and analytics required to inform the system s long range workforce forecasting and investment decisions. The Director will advise leaders on best practices for Total Rewards strategy and administration while fully participating in the planning and implementation of new programs, policies, and HRIS infrastructure.


The Director will provide oversight to all Retirement, Health, and Welfare plans, oversee leaves and absence management programs and policies, while also managing all related vendors and consultant relationships that provide services under the System s employee benefits plans. The Director will serve as an integral team member in the development and implementation of the annual benefits and salary programs which includes establishing, meeting, and continuously monitoring the finance and service excellence objectives while maintaining alignment with the organization s overall strategic goals.


Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record leading human resources, Total Rewards, and HRIS with a minimum of 7 years experience in an HR leadership role. Experience optimizing Workday functionality or an equivalent HRIS is highly preferred. A bachelor s degree in human resources or equivalent education is required, a masters degree is preferred. Certification in SHRM, CEBS, CCP or similar is preferred.
