The Senior Drafter would support the design, drawings, documentation, and record keeping requirements within the Product Engineering Department. Work entails developing 3D CAD models, detailed 2D design drawings, 2D layouts and various engineering documents required to meet requirements of valve, actuator and/or related accessories.
Expectations
To excel in the role you will:
- Plan and create a wide variety of technical documents including parts lists, bills of material, detail drawings, customer dimensional drawings, Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and tool changes associated with new or existing tools and products.
- Use engineering tools, such as design tables in Solidworks, design automation, and standard engineering calculations to complete work.
- Must be able to create engineering documents using Solidworks computer aided design systems.
- Makes calculations, layouts, sketches to assure proper design function. Uses company procedures to assign appropriate codes and drawing numbers, maintain schedules and provide technical documents using cost effective methods of manufacturing.
To succeed in this role you will need:
Associate's Degree in drafting and 3 years of experience or 5-7 years of related experience
