Provide short-term counseling services for TELUS Health's Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Position is 100% virtual.
Requirements:
- Master s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling/Education, or related field
- Must be fully clinically licensed & able to practice without supervision in South Carolina
- Minimum of 3 years post-master s counseling experience
- Experience in working with federal employees
- Independently clinically licensed in Washington DC
Responsibilities
- Provide assessments and short-term counseling services
- Ability to provide counseling within a 45-50 minute session with documentation taking place during the balance of the counseling hour
- Attend continuous learning sessions, training, and case consultations on a regular basis.
- Meet sessional, containment, and other targets as defined by the Clinical Manager
- Comfortable navigating internal operating systems, retrieving organizational information, and communicating with clients.
- Remain informed on relevant regulatory and legislative developments
Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent communication, problem solving, collaboration, cultural competency, time management and organizational skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Windows NT environment, basic typing skills)
- Strict adherence to the ethical principles governing confidentiality/privacy legislation
- Short-term solution focused or EAP counseling experience
