Description
AOA Art Instructors teach courses as needed in the Arts area (Art, Photography, Calligraphy, Antiques, Languages, and other courses created for AOA).
Classes meet 7 weeks per week ( 1.5 - 2 hours per week ). Workshops scheduled on weekends (length varies).
Job Duties
- Preparing syllabus and all materials for classes; providing materials to be copied at least 3 days prior to start date.
- Scheduling field trips as needed (all details).
- Communicating with students through emails and phone calls.
- Instructing students for the course/workshop.
- Communicating with the supervisor prior to, during, and following the course.
- Having students complete class/instructor evaluations at the last class and submitting to supervisor.
- Approving time clock hours prior to payroll deadline.
- Ability to stand throughout entire class.
Qualifications - Evidence of proficiency in the area of instruction (must be included on resume).
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in an art area, preferred.
- University-level courses completed in arts, preferred.
