**Summary/Objective**This position is responsible for directing and managing the activities of warehouse personnel to ensure that production and accuracy standards are met. Primary responsibilities include supervising the work of the warehouse including defining and achieving goals for safety, customer service, accuracy and efficiency. Creating a positive and safe work environment for all employees.
**What Youll Do (list responsibilities)**
* Supervise and coordinate all inbound or outbound activity.
* Orderly stacking and labeling of product.
* Verify required inbound and outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted.
* Ensure inbound or outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
* Ensure workers have adequate supplies. (tape,shrink wrap,pallets)
* Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
* Maintain product locator system. Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.
* Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
* In charge of demurrage on ocean containers
* Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
* Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
* Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA an MSDS standards.
* Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
* Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.
**Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications (list at least 7-10)**
**Physical Requirements**
* Working environment between up to 85 degrees
* Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack cartons as needed
**Requirements:**
* High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors Degree preferred
* 2-4 years of line supervision preferred
* Familiarity and experience with a wide range of produce items preferred.
* Must have working knowledge of the proper operation of warehouse equipment.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
* Strong communication and relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
* Proficiency in MS Office products
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Must be flexible with work schedule
* Ability to work independently
* Proven ability to lead a team
* Strong basic math skills
Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data
