Summary

A Denver based middle-market investment bank is looking to hire an experienced Investment Banker at the Associate level to join their small team.


The firm prides itself on having a disciplined deal selection approach resulting in a low-volume and high-quality evaluation and execution process to sell-side M&A transactions, representing both founder led and private equity owned companies across the country. 90% of your time as an Associate will be spent on live deal execution.


The Associate hire will be joining a relatively flat and highly collegial organizational culture with broad visibility into the deal origination and execution processes. You will have frequent interactions with Senior level team members in this round-table environment.


This firm spends time in several industry sectors, but focuses on the consumer space, having worked with many known and engage brands across consumer sub-sectors. Typical transaction size is in the $50M to $200M range with some recent transactions ranging in the $200M to $400M size.


Responsibilities


  • Develop a deep understanding of the firm's client's business model, financial profile, growth opportunities, and competitive landscape / strategic positioning
  • Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information
  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence and execute M&A transactions
  • Prepare marketing pitches, confidential information presentations, management presentations, and other presentations as needed
  • Perform valuation and ad hoc financial analyses
  • Assist in the marketing and execution of existing engagements
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of investment banking, financial consulting, private equity, or Big 4 M&A experience
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Extensive operational, financial modeling, and valuation experience
  • An undergraduate degree, including an exemplary academic record, from an accredited institution
  • Strong analytical/quantitative and technical abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously


The Salary Range listed on this posting is for Base Salary only, and will be complimented by a significant deal-based bonus.
