Job Purpose:
Regularly performs Warehouse & Pipe yard associate duties, may specialize in designated areas or functions, and provide support and direction to regular and temporary warehouse associates. Works closely with branch leadership to ensure productivity and safety expectations are met.
Responsibilities:

- Interpret/communicate & train safety policies/practices to ensure safe work practices are followed;
- Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks; inspect material for quality requirements;
- Stocking and transfer material, tools, and equipment to appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bind location, size, type, style, and length;
- Mark material with correct identifying information;
- Transfer material to and from stock package orders in boxed and pallets as required;
- Assemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as required;
- Pull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer; load onto correct truck or transfer to packing area using a forklift, overhead crane, and heavy equipment;
- Enter appropriate inventory (incoming and outgoing) information into SIMS system, using hand held scanner as appropriate;
- Maintain site inventory by assisting in inventory audits;
- Reviewing various periodic reports for contact, such as traffic and mill test reports;
- Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments;
- Assist Pipe yard/Warehouse Manager/Supervisor in delegating daily duties and assignments to warehouse personnel;
- Lead and direct Pipe yard/Warehouse Associates in work duties when needed;
- Establish working rapport with local management, corporate employees, and other branch personnel using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills.
- Adhere to MRC ethic policy and holds others accountable for behavior that is consistent with MRC ethical standards'
- Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.
Qualifications: Any combination of requirements which provide knowledge & abilities necessary to perform Essential Duties & Responsibilities will be considered
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree);
- One (1) year experience in pipe yard and/or warehouse environment;
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with leadership qualities.
Additional Qualifications: - Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status;
- Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others; to understand and interpret safety instructions; and to respond to inquiries;
- Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines & expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
