The (Sr) Research Associate/Associate Scientist will join efforts of Antibody Discovery, Protein Engineering and Process Development team to develop safe and effective T-cell engager therapies. The candidate will have an opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research working with a team of enthusiastic scientists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform protein characterization using multiple biophysical and biochemical techniques (i.e. SEC, HIC, IEX, SDS-PAGE, BLI), as well as other assessment tools.
- Perform stability assessment of proteins (antibodies and antigens)
- Support the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of analytical methods for protein characterization.
- Maintain and troubleshoot analytical equipment.
- Perform protein purification from bacterial protein expression system and further protein analysis and characterization.
- Maintain well-organized electronic notebook records of experimental data, author technical protocols and reports, communicate experimental results to the team.
- Collaborate with other scientists to support the development of innovative testing technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of protein characterization experience
- Working technical expertise in analytical methodologies used to characterize protein therapeutics including SEC, IEX, HIC, CE-SDS, SDS-PAGE, etc.
- Experience with characterization of protein-protein interactions (BLI, ELISA)
- Experience in protein purification from bacterial protein expression system.
- Experience handling, maintaining, and troubleshooting LC instruments (Agilent)
- Experience with LC data analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to work in a matrix team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience using electronic notebooks (Benchling)
