Job Title: Chemical Engineer - Bioprocessing Specialist
Location: San Francisco, CA, USA
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, prototype and optimize bioprocesses involving flow chemistry and enzyme catalysis.
- Conduct experiments to improve process parameters and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale up processes from laboratory to production scale.
- Implement and monitor process controls to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to bioprocessing.
- Prepare technical reports, SOPs, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Stay current with advancements in bioprocessing technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s + 2 years industry experience, Master s + 1 year industry experience, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bioprocessing, with a focus on flow chemistry and enzyme applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control standards in the biotechnology industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
- Experience with process analytical technology (PAT) and data analysis tools.
