Broad Function:
As the Store | Sales Manager at Davis Furniture, you will report to the Owner/General Manager and oversee daily store operations, ensuring sales goals are met. You will coach and guide the sales team, safeguard store assets, and collaborate with other team leaders. Effective communication on sales, store personnel, and consumer affairs is crucial. Your role will focus on training, leading, closing sales, and fostering teamwork to create a profitable sales environment.
Expected Results:
This hands-on role requires ensuring the store is fully staffed and daily/monthly sales goals are achieved. You will maintain high service levels, exceed customer expectations in quality, service, and value, and promote integrity in sales. Collaborate with the reception desk to ensure accurate SALESWORKS entries and review UPS counting.
Compensation:
- Base Pay: Annual salary commensurate with experience.
- Bonus Plan: Quarterly profit bonus and incentive plan based on KPIs. Details provided to finalist candidates.

Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
- 5 years of retail sales and management experience.
- Strong human relations and communication skills.
Product Familiarity:
- Knowledge of high-quality furniture, mattresses, home d cor, and visual merchandising techniques or a comparable retail sales environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicate plans, purposes, and goals.
- Recruit, train, and coach staff.
- Manage performance and performance indexes.
- Monitor sales performance measures and take proactive steps.
- Ensure outstanding customer greetings and focus on sketching rooms and house calls.
- Collaborate with sales support and operations to meet store goals.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Technical Abilities:
- Sales, recruiting, training, and display knowledge in retail/home furnishings.
- Basic knowledge of interior design concepts and home furnishings products.
- Proficiency in store computer systems and MS Office (Word and Excel).
Educational Background:
- A college degree is preferred but can be substituted with practical experience.
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Proven track record as a sales/store manager in operations of $3.00MM or higher.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends as required.
Typical Schedule:
- Primary days off during the week with occasional weekends off for preplanned special events.
