Search Construction Group, LLC is currently seeking a General Laborer

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Project Superintendent, the General Laborer is directly responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at building construction projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS

Job Duties

• Assist with various construction tasks such as installing, lifting, and carrying materials.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site - removal of rubble, debris, and other construction waste.
• Assist other trade personnel with a variety of tasks.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintain organization of job site, vehicles, and jobsite trailer.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to learn new skills.

Knowledge

• Some knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in commercial construction.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing English.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

Education:

• Graduation from high school, with diploma.

Experience:

• Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.

Driver's License Required: Yes

Other Requirements:

• First Aid training.
