The Love Boat promises something for everyone.We re looking for an amazing Lead, eCommerce Product Engineering to fill this role, which is based in our Fort Lauderdale office. You ll be responsible for leading and overseeing development, testing, and deployment of our digital platform. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading digital innovation and technical strategy for our guest-facing web applications.A customer mindset with positive relationships throughout the organization and excellent delivery are key attributes for this role.Here s a summary of what Princess is looking for in its Lead, eCommerce Product Engineering. Is this you?ResponsibilitiesOversee development, testing, and deployment of high-quality software solutions, while ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.Use engineering principles to conduct technical investigations involved with the modification of material; component; or process specifications and requirements.Responsible for all aspects of eCommerce Web product engineering including vacation smart search, cruise online reservations, amend reservations, pre-cruise purchases and CMS modules to drive innovation and increase direct and onboard revenue.Collaborate with stakeholders and partners (ie PMO, IT, Enterprise Architecture, Marketing, Security and Data teams) to ensure technology alignment, product success and predictable delivery.Collaborate with the downstream Operations Team to drive operational excellence for our eCommerce Websites. Accountable for ensuring availability, performance, and compliance of customer-facing web sites.Collaborate with stakeholders and partners (ie PMO, IT, Enterprise Architecture, Marketing, Security and Data teams) to ensure technology alignment, product success and predictable delivery.Collaborate with the downstream Operations Team to drive operational excellence for our eCommerce Websites. Accountable for ensuring availability, performance, and compliance of customer-facing web sites.Develop team target metrics.Track the performance of the scrum teams, implementing performance improvement strategies when necessary. Oversee quality control and lifecycle management processes, ensuring their continual improvement.Manage software development processes across multiple application development disciplines for software technology product lines.Develop risk identi cation and mitigation strategies associated with the architecture and coding process.Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and excellence while continuously elevating the quality and caliber of our product development organization.Establish and ensure best practices for the software development lifecycle including solution engineering, build, and test, inclusive of test automation.Manage vendor relationship for sourcing Web engineering talent, managed services and strategic partners (i.e. Adobe, Akamai). Leveraging on-site/offshore resources for efficiency.Directly influences technical timeline for delivery of revenue-generating features & products online for ticket and on-board revenue.Through self service capabilities, drives a reduction in service call volumeDirectly oversees web operations to proactively improve online customer experience

RequirementsBachelor s Degree -Engineering, Computer Science/Math10 years delivering technology products5+ years leading engineering solutions E2E8+ years delivering large scale consumer facing system solutions3+ years Adobe Experience Manager, SAP Hybris, MongDB and Algolia required5-8 years of experience in web technologies like Javascript, Ajax, Bootstrap, React, Java, Spring Boot, GraphQLProven ability to build productive collaborative relationships, motive team members, and instill a positive can-do attitudeMust have strong experience leading engineering/technology professionalsStrong understanding of Web UI Technologies and frameworks such as React and AngularProven experience on Product Testing and driving result through iterative testingStrong experience and understanding of Serverless ArchitectureStrong experience with REACTStrong experience and understanding of Event Driven ArchitectureExperience in the planning, analysis, and design of software application strategiesExtensive knowledge of the system development life cycle, the customer area s functions and systems, and application program development alternativesShould have a deep understanding of many software development methodologiesDeep understanding and application of WCAG, PCI, PII, Encryption requirementsRequires excellent communication skills, analytical ability, solid judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and other IT professionalsSubject Matter Experience in Adobe Experience Manager requiredMicros services & SPA experience preferredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.
