Job Details
We are seeking an experienced accounting leader to fill a Controller need at one of our clients here in Chicago. The current person in the seat is retiring, so this role will be replacing them. Once in the seat, a CFO succession plan will be put into place for the ideal candidate.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and accounting personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.
Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Oversight
- Monthly Revenue Recording
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Technical Accounting Analysis
- Transaction Monitoring
- Internal Control Implementation
- Process Optimization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and month-end/year-end closing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
