Plant Manager

Looking for a Plant Manager to lead an automotive manufacturing facility with 300 personnel.

Automotive plastics experience is required.

Injection molding and Assembly

P&L experience


The ideal candidate will have experience managing both a production facility and a team. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes. The candidate will also have an ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines diligently in order to create a healthy work environment for all employees.

Plant Manager Qualifications:

  • Oversee plant operations such as budget, production schedule and stock
  • Maintain clean and safe workplace
  • Analyze production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvements
  • Ensure adherence to rules and workplace policies
  • Examine processes and design plans to effectively use available resources


Ensuring production schedules are met in a safe & efficient manner

Post Secondary Education required in a related field

Must have experience within a fast paced automotive plastics manufacturing environment

Experience and ability to lead continuous improvement efforts

Manage, lead and motivate a multi-functional team

Responsible for the Health & Safety of the plant and workers, Financial aspects of the plant, operations / production among others etc.

Follow-up and deal with any problems that may occur within the plant.

Responsible for managing all production departments in the plant.

Check during shift to ensure that proper methods and procedures are being used and that quality, safety, environment standards are being met Qualifications

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AT A PLANT MANAGEMENT LEVEL FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE PARTS MANUFACTURER INJECTION MOLDING

Extensive automotive industry experience (5+ years), including managerial roles (5-10 years), with expertise in tooling and familiarity with Toyota TPM, Honda Lean

Manufacturing System, and / or Six Sigma methodologies

Proficient in systematic problem-solving methods such as the 8D and 5P approaches.

Advanced computer software skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • 6+ years of experience in field
  • Experience in plant management and manufacturing operations Strong communication, management and supervisory skills
