Position: Hospitality Assistant

Department: Programming

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Pay Rate: $25.00/Hour

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager the Hospitality Assistant will primarily support the programming team in all non-classical programs across multiple venues including the Hollywood Bowl, The Ford, and Walt Disney Concert Hall from June 1 - October 31.

The Hospitality Assistant(s) will work with the programming team to handle the hospitality needs of all shows throughout the summer season. Coverage of all non-classical concerts at multiple venues will be split between the hospitality assistants, exact assignments to be determined. This is a non-regular part-time position, tentatively from June 1 - October 31. Individual start dates to be determined upon hiring.

Position Elements:

  • Advances concert hospitality elements with tour manages as assigned.
  • Provide hospitality assistance as required for concerts and events, including extensive hospitality and catering set up for artists per the contract riders.
  • Support day of show hospitality needs as a runner, picking up various items as required.
  • Coordinate food and beverage delivery services to artists, managers, and other VIPs.
  • Ensure dressing rooms are clean and set correctly for artists and guests.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Position Requirements:
  • Must be available to work on concerts as assigned from approximately June 1 - October 30. Hours will vary per week based on concert and projects assigned to the individual.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Must be able to work with/communicate with artists, agents and managers in sensitive situations
  • Must own a reliable car and have clean driving record
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Professional; and ability to learn required business systems
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service oriented in all industry and interoffice interactions
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Excellent oral and written communication and relationship building skills: ability to present information effectively and ability respond to questions and/or inquiries from co-workers, artist teams, VIP clients, etc
