We are searching for a mission-oriented, adaptable, self-starter with strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to join our team as Home Purchase Advisor (HPA). As an HPA, you will work with clients to help them assess their financial situation and work toward qualifying for an affordable, fixed-rate mortgage loan.

The Home Purchase Advisor is responsible for carrying out the following duties:

  • Establish trusting and non-judgmental relationships with potential homeowners.
  • Review and analyze customers' financial situations and create a plan of action for potential homeownership.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and follow-up for a caseload of customers to ensure continual progress in becoming ready to buy a home.
  • Provide post-purchase counseling as needed to customers to identify and resolve budget/credit problems to avoid delinquency and become current on payments.
  • As customers become buyer-ready, provide a seamless transition to Homewise's Real Estate Sales Associate Brokers and Lending team.
  • Assist Real Estate Sales Associate Brokers and Lending team in removing barriers for customers to purchase and close on their home.
  • Work closely with other teammates, including Real Estate Sales Associate Brokers, Loan Officers, and Loan Processors, to ensure best practices in the services provided to customers.
  • Use the Homewise, Inc. STARS database system to track client progress, Desktop Underwriter, and other electronic tools to provide the best service to customers.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist as needed with financial education classes for potential homeowners. Includes preparation, presentation, and follow-up after classes.


Requirements

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree preferred
