Role Description


This full-time hybrid role is located in Stamford, CT, with some work-from-home allowed. As a Due Diligence Engineer - Solar, you will be responsible for executing the technical interrogation program for solar projects, overseeing the technical due diligence process for acquisitions and financing, and leading technical advisory services for development and construction projects. You'll be expected to manage external technical advisers and liaise with internal teams.


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, technical consulting, or related fields, with emphasis on solar projects
  • Expertise in due diligence reviews, including technical, commercial, and site evaluation assessments, as well as related analysis and reports
  • In-depth knowledge of solar project design, construction, and operation, and the ability to identify potential issues and risks
  • Excellent understanding of the renewable energy market and asset management concepts
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity and experience using industry-standard software for technical review and design, such as AutoCAD and PVsyst
  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Professional engineering or technical certifications are strongly preferred
