**POSITION SUMMARY:**

We are actively seeking an experienced hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager with eagerness to advance with a hands-on approach and a desire to meet the needs of anyone and everyone. They understand the value of developing a team to work towards their full potential to deliver an amazing guest experience, produce the highest level of sales, and affect the greatest profits. They remain competitive in every area, achieve budgetary goals, and maintain high employee morale.

The ideal General Manager candidate is motivated, and able to execute operational strategies in a branded hotel setting for our valued guests. They will maintain the highest ethical standards of operation and quality of services and facilities for the hotel. They will also be responsible for driving top line revenues for rooms and food & beverage outlets to peak levels through sales initiatives and revenue management.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* **Overall Operations**- Oversee all aspects of operations by exercising demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, food and beverage, revenue management and the rooms division.

* **Brand Standards**- Familiarizing and adhering to branded standard operating procedures and Crowns standard operating procedures.

* **Leadership**- Provide the vision, leadership, and strategy to inspire your associates to deliver exceptional service to drive financial success.

* **Guest Satisfaction Scores/ Reviews**- Exceed guest expectations to drive guest satisfaction scores on branded guest satisfaction sites, social media, and third-party sites.

* **Goals and Action Plans**- Work with the executive team to establish goals and objectives that coordinate with the overall hotel wide goals and objectives.

* **Sales and Marketing**- Enable innovation and drive results by executing sales and marketing campaigns, understanding dynamic revenue management, and driving profit to the bottom line through strong financial controls.

* **Guest and Employee Satisfaction**- Evaluates changes to the guests needs, the hotels guest mix and competitive trends to recommend appropriate products/services and operational changes to ensure guest and employee satisfaction.

* **Employee Morale**- Demonstrate and promote teamwork among your executive team and staff while creating an environment in which all associates reach their full potential.

* **Budget Management**- Assists in developing operating budgets.

* **Maintenance of Quality Standards** for proper guestroom cleanliness, function room set up and public room set-ups, maintenance of all facilities, service, and employee performance. Performing documented weekly property walks and daily room inspections.

* **Operations Analysis and Executive Team Supervision**- Analyzes operations and meet with executive team to review the operations and receive their suggestions.

* **Develop Executive Team** Train executive team and keep them informed of company policies and observe their performance. Delegates responsibilities, hold them responsible for standards set forth by Crown and the Brand. Assists them in improving their level of performance.

* **Employee Relations** - Works with executive team and employees directly and counsels employees when necessary. Establishes programs to improve employee morale and motivation. Delegates work responsibilities to best utilize all personnel.

* **Forecast and Planning** - Participates and directs scheduled internal meetings regarding sales, forecasting, quality control, safety, etc.

* **Reports**- Prepares all reports on a timely basis. Analyze and state strategies to improve.

* **Hotel Building Improvements** - Prepares required capital improvements to list annually.

* **Staffing** - Studies and analyzes employee work assignments from which staffing guides are established and approved. Maintains daily check on payroll performance and takes affirmative action to correct high payroll costs. Approves all overtime, both before and after in the case of an emergency or unscheduled requirement.

* **Controls Other Expenses** - Checks controls and approves all other hotel expenses.

* **Safety and Sanitation** - Inspects the property and implements action to ensure the safety and comfort of fire, injury, or illness due to unsafe or unsanitary conditions.

* **Authorization of Requisitions and Checks** - Approves requisitions for purchases of all items other than food and beverage.

* **Competition** - Obtains current, competitive rate information.

* **Home Office Communications**- Reviews all significant items with Director of Operations or other home office executives for information purposes, policy decisions, or assistance requests.

* **Problem Resolution**- Works to resolve issues or problems that guests may experience.

* **Additional Tasks**- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**

* Minimum of (3) three years of experience as a Hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager of a branded hotel..

* Bachelors degree or extensive amount of relevant work experience in Hospitality Management preferred.

* Proven history of delivering excellent guest service scores and social media third party review sites.

* Maximizes profit through financial planning and analysis.

* Effective communication and listening skills.

* Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on, lead by example work style.

* Knowledgeable of sales initiatives and principles of revenue management..
