Join our team caring for Georgia's native birds! Dedicated individuals are needed for regular bird care shifts. Hands-on training with a licensed rehabiliator is provided.
Located in Legacy Park, Decatur, Wild Nest Bird Rehab is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, committed to the care of Georgia's native birds and educating the public about their conservation.
Responsibilities include:
- Hand feeding baby birds
- Preparing a variety of food and formulas
- Cleaning bird habitats and general facility cleaning
- Recognizing and communicating patient problems
Qualifications
- No bird care experience is required. We will train you via our structured training program.
- Ability to volunteer for a 4 hour shift once per week
- Some attention to detail is needed in order to follow protocols and procedures
- Must be 18+ years of age
- A love for animals!
Once trained in our bird care processes, other volunteer opportunities may be made available such as marketing, working events, fundraising, administrative and gardening.
