Accounts Receivable Specialist - Franklin, TN (Cool Springs)

Our clinical research company is looking to hire a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Accounts Receivable Specialist. The AR Specialist position is responsible for accounts receivable duties and assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Process receivables from Sponsors in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with company and departmental procedures.
  • Support other accounting personnel in monthly close process.
  • Communicate with research sites regarding Sponsor electronic data exchange discrepancies.
  • Correspond with Sponsor personnel on outstanding invoice issues and reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement proper keeping of financial records, making use of current software and technology.
  • Ensure monthly Sponsor billings are accurate via reconciliation with CTMS system, create and transmit any external billings to sponsors required by study contracts
  • Review records of bank accounts and input entries into proper customer accounts.
  • As requested, create forms and spreadsheets for accounting personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

The AR Specialist role has no supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other accounting personnel as needed.

Job Type

This is a regular, full-time, in-office role reporting to the Company's home office. Occasional remote work may be available after the 90-day probationary period is completed successfully.

3+ years of finance/accounting experience preferred
