The main function of the Pepperjack's Caf Cashier / Barista is to facilitate food and beverage service. The position involves prompt and accurate service for all guests.

**HIRING BONUS!** $250 on your second paycheck and $250 after 90 days of employment!! (for PT/OC positions, after you return for the next season)

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Welcome guests, take their orders, ring in order in POS system, deliver prepared order to guest and receive payment for order

* Accurately handle all payments

* Effectively model and maintain resort mission statement and guiding principles

* Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner

* Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming

* Effective in listening, understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests

* Complete opening/closing checklists according to standards

* Welcome guests, take or assist in taking guest orders, and collect payment for items ordered

* Ensure that tables are presentable. Restock items accordingly

* Set, service, and maintain market and caf

* Clean and clear tables within a timely manner

* Prepare beverages requested by customers according to standard recipes

* Have full knowledge of all offerings

* Comply with resort standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations

* Ensure compliance with all health department regulations

* Maintain the cleanliness of Outlet, complete side work as assigned

* Have knowledge of beverage options to up sell aggressively

* Meet and greet guests

* Daily check of physical plant of restaurant areas

* Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance

* Will cross train for other positions and may assume the role of other food & beverage positions including, but not limited to: Bartender, Cocktail Server, Banquet/Conference Server, and Host/Hostess

* Attend all required meetings

* Work flexible hours and shifts

* Other duties as required

**WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

* Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

* Previous food and beverage experience preferred.

* Previous barista experience highly preferred.

* Previous POS / Aloha experience preferred.

* Previous guest service experience.

* Must be able to speak, hear, read, write, and understand the English language.

* TIPS Certified or ability to obtain certification

* Must have strong customer service aptitude.

* Good oral and written communication skills.

* Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

* Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

* Ability to maintain good eye contact and listen effectively.

* Ability to traverse all parts of the conference center, kitchen and restaurant quickly.

* Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.

* Access to the kitchen which may have slippery surfaces; safety shoes should be worn.

* May deliver food & beverage poolside or outside, and may experience adverse conditions with exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.

* Espresso machine

* Access to the kitchen which may have slippery surfaces; safety shoes should be worn

* May deliver food & beverage poolside or outside, and may experience adverse conditions with exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.

**HIRING RANGE:** $15.00 16.00 per hour
