Area Sales Manager


Job Details

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving profitable revenue growth. You will lead a team of sales professionals dedicated to expanding our customer base and achieving growth targets. You will be at the forefront of expanding our market share by acquiring new customers and increasing the value of existing accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive customer growth strategy for the area, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Lead and inspire a sales team to pursue sales leads and achieve growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding customer trends and suggesting new products/services to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that attract new customers and cross-sell to existing ones.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to sales representatives, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively pitch our products and services.
  • Conduct regular sales forecasts and reports, tracking customer growth and sales targets.
  • Work closely with support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads and stay abreast of market trends.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends to proactively adjust strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales management, with a strong track record in customer acquisition and account growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with CRM software and data analysis.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Ability to work independently to meet assigned goals and objectives for self and team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.

Language Requirements:

  • Spanish is required

Work Environment:

  • Ability to Travel as required
