Job Details
Description-Full-time, 40-hours per week Patient Service Representative at Kirby Medical Group working primarily at Monticello Orthopedics with the possibility to float between primary care in Monticello, Atwood, Cerro Gordo locations. Provides front end patient and clinic support through insurance and demographic collection and verification, assists patients with documentation, performs appropriate appointment scheduling, documents patient-related phone calls in the EMR, and explains wait times and sets reasonable expectations for waiting patients. Will greet and register patients, collect co-pays, reconcile petty cash, relay messages, schedule return appointments, refer to ancillary services, file and assist with various office tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Must be customer service focused.
- Computer skills a must.
- Excellent telephone skills required. Multi-tasking.
- Experience in a medical environment.
- Familiar with medical terminology preferred.
- Flexibility and willingness to do varied job assignments.
