**Job Description**
Job Summary:
The Operator paints components and parts to the required customer specifications. The Operator ensures 100% delivery to their customer while maintaining the safety of all working personnel in surrounding areas.
Essential Job Functions:
- Communicate with previous shift operators as to how the job is running and review quality standards
- Review prodution set up sheet, locate proper part fixture
- Review production job book and paint log and sign
- Follow written procedures (ODS), monitor quality and communicate production and quality issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor
- Review paint line production sheet and enter appropriate data (tool number, start time, completion time)
- Verify correct parts are in container and place on fixture, perform visual inspection checking for defects. Clean parts with blower and paint.
- Remove lables from cntainer and properly dispose of empty containers
- Perform general housekeeping, clean fixtures, walls, filters and floors
- Must be able to wear proper PPE
- Must be able to work any shift
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Employee must have the ability to work additional hours and / or overtime as needed or assigned to complete job duties on time.
- Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive to designated location on time, or be at assigned location ready to work for assignment (plant, corporate office, or remote).
Required Education Level:
High School Graduate or Equivalent
*Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to remain organized and focused.
- Schedule flexibility is necessary for this role as mandatory overtime may be required due to changing and last-minute customer demands.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight time scales.
- Ability to communicate at all levels efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
- 1 year experience within the automotive industry
