Job Description
Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory as an Environmental health Technician! in this role you will work on the manufacturing of items for developmental testing at the Advanced Test Reactor. This role will require obtaining and maintaining several radiological qualifications including working as a nuclear fuel handler.
Successful candidate will:
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, facility, and local infrastructure.
Work to established schedules and procedures, communicate effectively with peers, test sponsors, and management.
Verify and assure that the facility is operation is in accordance with documented test plans and procedures, perform routine mechanical assembly and repair on equipment, respond to emergency situations as they arise.


Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; orAssociate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; orJourneyman's papers in a related field.
Preferred Skills
Ability to understand mechanical systems and repair them
Familiarity with radiological work
Familiarity with destructive evaluation

Pay Range
$50,800.00 - $76,200.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
