Job Description

ANGARAI's Electrical Inspector will play a crucial role in verifying the compliance of electrical installations with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. The Electrical Inspector will conduct thorough inspections, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations to ensure the safety and efficiency of electrical systems.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Conduct Inspections: Perform inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection findings, including photographs and notes, and provide reports to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Code Compliance: Stay up to date with the latest electrical codes, standards, and regulations to ensure inspections are conducted in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Safety Recommendations: Identify and communicate potential safety hazards or code violations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address and resolve any issues or concerns identified during inspections.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, transformers, and related components.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate inspection findings, recommendations, and requirements to clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Training and Education: Provide guidance and training to contractors and other professionals to enhance their understanding of electrical codes and compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualification and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Must possess a valid electrical inspector license or certification as required by local and state regulations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field. Experience with [specific codes or standards] is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Ability to perform thorough and accurate inspections, paying close attention to compliance with codes and regulations.
