Top Pain Management specialty group in Orange County, CA has an immediate opening for a medical Billing Specialist.
Job Description:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22-$23 per hour DOE
Summary:
Position: Billing Collector
Location: Orange Country, CA
Days: Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM
Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge with HMO's & PPO's
- Familiar with basic coding
- Process billing claims on a day to day between 100-200
- Able to read medical notes and send message to providers
- Must be a multi-tasker and motivated to learn
- Room for growth in this position and move into a Coder role
- Performs all billing for primary and secondary insurances for all practice locations
- Knowledge with Insurance Plans
- Interacts with business office staff and facility staff as needed to obtain information necessary to submit a clean claim to insurance carriers
Position Requirements Qualifications:
- High School, with 1-2 years experience in healthcare insurance billing and verification, collections and/or authorizations
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Good work history stability

Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
