Meet's partnered with an exciting and growing biotech in San Diego for a Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist Analytical Development!
You'll be responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on the analytical development of small molecule chemistry experiments, degradation pathways, characterization, and stabilization techniques for ophthalmic and injectable drug products. You'll also be screening formulations and operating analytical equipment such as HPLC and LCMS.
Responsibilities:
- Operating analytical equipment such as HPLC-UV and LCMS
- Small molecule chemistry
- Solve problems independently by planning, designing, executing, and interpreting experiments.
- Develop and qualify analytical methods.
- Write experiment protocols, development, and data reports.
- Design and conduct experiments to characterize ophthalmic and parenteral formulations such as solutions, lyophilized products, sterile injectables, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Chemistry or related field. MS and/or PhD preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in industry with analytical and formulation development of small molecules.
- 4+ years of analytical experience with HPLC-UV and/or LCMS.
- Experience with sample preparation and analytical characterization of early phase formulation and process development of sterile dosage forms for small molecules.
