We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will own the entire process of building data warehouses and managing ETL pipelines, working collaboratively with our customers in the healthcare and consumer goods. The ideal candidate must have a maker mindset who thrives in working with forward-thinking technologies. You will bring a deep understanding of ANSI SQL, T-SQL, and the Microsoft Azure cloud environment with particular expertise in Azure SQL, Synapse, and Data Factory. If you have SnowSQL and experience in the Snowflake data cloud you are highly qualified for this role.

This is a customer-facing role that requires the ability to understand client business needs and constraints. You will use those insights to develop and deliver effective data solutions. + Ownership of client relationships from the technical perspective including driving customer engagements and Agile project stand-ups

+ Advise holistic architectural recommendations for data infrastructure/data warehousing to achieve client success

+ Unearth client pain points, requirements, and business process in order to translate into a technical project plan

+ Hands-on development to deliver suggested architecture, capabilities, data models, and business intelligence tools

+ Greenfield development of a data warehouse from scratch to routine maintenance and incremental enhancement

+ Over-communicate project risks, dependencies, and successes with project stakeholders

+ Stay up-to-date with pertinent technologies and platforms

+ Provide mentorship and training on various methodologies and tools for customer resources

+ Promote the adoption of business intelligence tools

+ Suggest thought-leadership topics and new technologies that may enhance our services and projects

+ Foster a culture of customer-centricity and service

**Skills and Expertise**

+ 4 + years of SQL experience

+ Demonstrable knowledge and experience designing and building data warehouses

+ 2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure (e.g. Synapse, Azure SQL, ADF, ADLS)

+ Experience coding high-quality stored procedures, views, test scripts, and SSAS tabular data models

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Understand complex business and technical requirements and the ability to recommend appropriate solutions that include database design, reporting and dashboard options, and data governance.

+ Experience translating and framing business requirements into prototypes and data models

+ Experience with Power BI

+ Experience with Snowflake Data Platform

+ Build, optimize, deliver, and support new and existing reports and data visualization dashboards using Power BI and DAX based on requirements from functional experts/business owners.
