Position Summary:

Performs multiple storeroom operations, maintenance and material management. Unloads and loads material within storeroom. Processes material requests, maintains and adjusts inventory levels, and ensure materials and supplies are available to meet requirements according to schedules and emergency situations. Performs various clerical, administrative and storeroom duties to ensure efficient operation.

Primary Duties:

* Unloads and moves material through the storeroom with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, hoist) as required.

* Conducts daily inventory of stock to ensure adequate supplies are on hand and reconciles differences.

* Receives and inspects materials and supplies delivered for completeness and quality.

* Signs freight bill or shipping documents, enter quantity received and forwards to supervisor for preparation of receiving report.

* Receipting, handling, documenting and shipping hazardous material.

* Issues material via bar coding and/or computer (stock number). Assembles items for maintenance/work orders and delivers items to the appropriate areas.

* Maintains necessary logs and files in storeroom for accurate records keeping.

* Performs general housekeeping duties as required to ensure the warehouse, outside storage area and/or pole yard are orderly and safe working environments.

* Unloads excess and salvage material returned from construction and maintenance projects and determines disposition of material.

* Works with Enterprise Supply Chain buyers to expedite materials and services as required to support maintenance and emergency services.

* Delivers materials and supplies as required to remote facilities and work locations.

* Creates SAP requisitions for direct materials in support of field operations.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED.

* One (1) year material handling experience.

* Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write clearly and legibly.

* Ability to keep good record keeping for compliance audits.

* Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAP experience a plus.

* Interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with diverse personalities and be a team player.

* Knowledge of material processes.

* Ability to operate equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, hoist, etc.

Working Conditions:

* Work may be performed in warehouse atmosphere with moderate exposure to heat, cold and noise.

* May be required to work non-standard work schedules to include nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime, and call-outs.

* May be required to be periodically available for after-hours emergencies.

* May requires extensive daily travel.

* Occasional overnight travel may be required.
