Location: New York/ New Jersey Metropolitan Area (Remote with travel to various airport locations)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to serve as a Regional HRBP for our East Coast operations, with a focus on travel retail environments, including airports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, employee engagement, and strategic HR initiatives. This role will be pivotal in driving HR strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring a positive employee experience and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to regional and airport leadership teams on all HR-related matters.
- Implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that support business objectives and foster a positive employee experience.
- Support employee relations efforts, including managing labor relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Partner with talent acquisition to drive recruitment efforts, including sourcing, selection, and onboarding of top talent.
- Employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Coaching and support to managers on leadership development, team dynamics, and employee performance.
- HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on labor relations, preferably in the retail or travel industry.
- Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Working in unionized environments and managing collective bargaining agreements.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Travel to various airport, rail and other locations along the East Coast as needed.
